Dean's Message

Dear students,
Today, communication finds its place in almost every area of ​​life. Today, in addition to interpersonal communication networks, mass media and new media tools have also become one of the fundamental elements of our lives. In such an environment, communication faculties have become one of the key institutions of higher education all over the world.

Fırat University Faculty of Communication has managed to adapt to this process with its deep-rooted history, quality of education and diversity in its departments. Active education continues in our faculty in the departments of Journalism, Public Relations and Promotion, Radio, Television and Cinema, and Visual Communication Design. The development work of the New Media Department, which was opened within our faculty in accordance with the requirements of our age, continues and we hope that it will meet with its students very soon.
Our faculty draws a portrait that is in line with the requirements of the field of communication with the quality of its academic staff in all departments. In addition to the academic publications they carry out, our academic staff also stand out with the project studies they carry out in cooperation with important institutions, especially TÜBİTAK. While our faculty members provide competent education to students, they also achieve significant success with workshops, practical lessons and social events that are in line with the requirements of our age.

We currently have over 1500 students continuing their education at our faculty. With all these opportunities, our faculty awaits all students who want to take part in the field of communication and practice this important profession of our age.
